Inspired by their New York City roots, our clients asked us to infuse a New England Traditional with the Industrial feel of a New York loft. In this Brentwood kitchen we juxtaposed shaker-style cabinets, a tongue-and-groove ceiling, hex tile floors and carrara marble countertops with steel I-beams, industrial lighting fixtures and stainless steel appliances. Clerestory windows flood the kitchen with natural light and its open floor plan includes a sunny keeping room and dining area just beyond the island. This kitchen was designed for a serious cook in an active family of five with an ample pantry and storage space, a homework area with an expansive view of the yard to keep an eye on the kids.
