The courtyard of a Spanish Colonial Revival residence in Brentwood. Designed by Los Angeles architecture firm Tim Barber Ltd. and Patricia Benner Landscape Design.

Spanish Colonial Revival Residence

Brentwood, Los Angeles, California

We worked on this 1930s Brentwood home with a previous owner, so when it changed hands we jumped at the chance to expand this gem. The new wing in the rear added a family room, powder room with a new bedroom and bath above. The new wing in the front provided a large open kitchen, laundry, homework room and maid's suite, and a second floor master suite with two additional en-suite bedrooms.

New steel windows and French doors bring a more modern vibe to the home, capturing the views of the tranquil courtyard with its outdoor fireplace, new/old olive trees and drought-resistant plantings.
