Communications Manager

We seek a seasoned communications manager to join our growing residential architecture studio in LA’s Design Quarter. The communications manager will collaborate with the principal and team to discover, build, and maintain relationships with clients and collaborators through various media.


Our communications manager will also

  • manage the redesign of our logo, website, and marketing collateral;

  • update the new website after launch;

  • develop branded digital content, including blog and social media posts;

  • nurture in-house staff ambassadors and culture;

  • coordinate project photo shoots;

  • compose and manage award and publication submissions;

  • create and administer quarterly and annual marketing strategies and budgets; and

  • analyze sales and website metrics to identify trends, successes, and opportunities.


Successful candidates will have

  • a bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, architecture, or a related field (or equivalent work experience);

  • 2-4 years of marketing project management experience (including budgeting), preferably in the residential design industry;

  • the ability to capture and elevate the voice of the firm in the written word, with empathy, accuracy, and detail;

  • impeccable interpersonal communication skills with diplomacy and discretion;

  • prior success in organically growing a brand’s social media presence, specifically on Pinterest, Instagram, Houzz, and Dering Hall;

  • command of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Exchange, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Adobe Photoshop, Acrobat, and InDesign; and Squarespace;

  • knowledge of SEO best practices and competency in Google Analytics, My Business, Search Console, and other tools to track and analyze web performance;

  • working knowledge of the vocabulary of American domestic architecture;

  • SEM and UX design experience, or a willingness to learn these skills; and

  • a collaborative and proactive, can-do attitude and a friendly demeanor.
