Lake Arrowhead, California is nestled between mountains at 5,174 feet above sea level. Our Coyote Walk project is reached by a narrow winding road sheltered by towering redwoods providing glimpses of the sparkling lake. Snowy, freezing winters and cool sunny summers made this home an unusual Southern California project. We began with a quirky 1930’s craftsman/moderne multilevel home with steel windows and paneling throughout. We added a Family Room and view decks and expanded and renovated the home to add warmth, convenience and rich detail.
We also created the interior design, combining arts and crafts textiles, mission and monterrey rustic furniture, wrought iron lighting, stencils and carved linoleum. The result: a secluded mountain retreat with lake views that sleeps about 14 people. The place seems lost in time, yet it is only two hours from Los Angeles.
